In BODIFICATIONS, images of the human figure are manipulated, so that they fold into themselves and blossom out into alien forms that are arrestingly familiar. In this series fantastical non-beings are created, limbs that attach to other limbs, blurring the boundaries and rendering the “real” as being virtually obsolete. Trough blending, overlaying, mirroring and combining and body parts a new species evolves. The results here have an otherworldly beauty, resembling a strange plant or something outright weird and disturbing in a very "what is it? - and “where is it?" kind of alien-sexual way. Anything is possible and the border between beauty and disturbance is blurred. It's in the eye of the beholder.
